THURSDAY HAPPY HOUR
Tonight sees another Quartet Happy Hour with two jackpots allocated to races at Hobart & Sandown Park. The Happy Hour kicks off at 6.05pm and finishes at 6.36pm.
OD6 – 6.05pm – Invitation (461m) – approx $5,000
Est pool $35k
REWIND (1) is perfectly drawn in this and he looks set to continue his top form here where he is yet to miss a top 2 finish after 11 starts. Despite meeting a very strong field he can definitely be taken one out in the quartet. Last week’s invitation winner NOVEMBER DIGGER (2) ran second to REWIND 2 starts back at Launceston and a repeat result tonight would not surprise at all. His box draw advantage on his rivals will be a key to his chances tonight. MOJITO (5) has been in top form in this class winning 2 starts back and placing second last week behind NOVEMBER DIGGER. He will need luck from the squeeze box but regardless is a must inclusion high up on the quartet ticket. LIKA WHISPER (6) ran a top runner up behind RADLEY BALE in the final of the Launceston Cup last week and he has an impressive record of 10 starts here for 6 wins and 3 placings. With the way he is chasing he does have the potential of winning this. Both NEW RECRUIT (3) & PENNY’S ANGEL (8) have good records here and whilst a win from these 2 greyhounds would be a surprise they should be respected for a place in the back end of the quartet. The field is also a must for 4th in this race as all greyhounds are classy and could easily fill this position.

SPRING SPECIAL (2) is proving to be one handy greyhound winning here twice recently in times of 29.41 & 29.68. She has good early speed and can easily lead this race all of the way. CAILYN BALE (7) is another greyhound that has plenty of early speed to burn and if the inside division crowd up a little she could easily take advantage of this and shoot to the lead. She will need to run up to her best to be winning but it would be wise to keep her safe as an each way prospect. STATE OF BLING (6) is very strong and with some clear running early he will be finishing this race off powerfully. He won from box 8 last week in 29.68 so definitely keep him safe for the win in wider quartets. DARLIN BALE (1) is perfectly drawn in the red and despite perhaps not being quick enough to win this she looks to be a great chance to use as an anchor for the place. The 3 greyhounds drawn in boxes 3, 4 & 5 all have claims to run a place in this race and it would be wise to include them for 3rd & 4th.
